sunday playlist #2
a temporally thematic list this time…
in the week that grammatics played their final show it seems only fitting that they should head up this spotify list.
since i’m spending a fair amount of time with my new fretless bass strapped on, a bit of jaco at his finest is only right and proper (a live cut with peter erskine on drums, light years better than alex acuña’s efforts on the studio version)
the briefest of chance conversations with a cellist at a wedding brought a performance by the elysian quartet in the small hours of the morning at truck festival 2009 floating back up.
the hope and social tune has been flogged mercilessly on my ipod this week – a good 15+ times. (i think bits of venice are still infused with the song, despite flying home this thursday to teaching prep, wedding music and rain!)
the others just popped into my ears seemingly from nowhere.
